Changing Cluster Wrapping

A router interface always connects to one of four backplane rings. When you first
install a Model 5580 Token Ring Router, all four interfaces are wrapped.
You can connect or wrap the router interfaces using the Connections Diagnostics
Menu. A wrapped interface remains associated with a backplane ring, but operates
disconnected from a backplane ring.
If you have a network management module, you can use network management to
connect or wrap one or more of the four router interfaces on the backplane. Refer
to the token ring network management module documentation and Optivity
documentation for more information.
To change the connection status of a cluster port (router interface) on the
backplane and view the results:
