Verifying the Installation

Immediately after you have installed the router module, observe that all LEDs (see
Figure 2-13) light amber, then green, then off. If the board is installed and
functioning properly, you will see the following LEDs light during the diagnostic
and boot sequence:
After the diagnostics have successfully completed:
When the router module has finished booting and is operational, the annunciator,
Run, and BP LEDs light green; the Net 1, Net 2, and PPX LEDs light green if
these options are installed.
Refer to Appendix B, "LEDs," for all the LED definitions. Refer to Chapter 3,
"Initializing and Setting Up the Routers," to complete the installation.

The annunciator lights amber.
The Run LED blinks green to indicate the diagnostics are running.
The Boot LED is green to indicate the boot process. The Boot LED turns off
when the process is complete.
The Run LED is off while the router module is booting.
The Diag LED remains off to indicate that the tests have run successfully.
