Appendix B
Date and Time Formats
The Netopia ISDN Router supports country-specific date and time
format combinations. These formats apply to the dates and times
displayed and used by the Router, as well as to editable date and
time items.
Date formats use the elements DD (day), MM (month), and YY
(year). Each element is a one- or two-digit number. These elements
can appear in any combination.
Time formats use the 12- or 24-hour clock. The 12-hour clock runs
from 12:00 AM (midnight) to 11:59 AM (just before noon) and from
12 PM (noon) to 11:59 PM (just before midnight). The 24-hour clock
runs from 00:00 (midnight) to 23:59 (just before midnight).
The format combination used by the Netopia ISDN Router is
determined solely by the setting on the Switch Type item. This item,
which is found in the ISDN Line Configuration screen, is a pop-up
menu with country-protocol choices. Each choice shows a country or
region name and a switch protocol, except for Generic, which may
be a suitable choice in countries that do not appear in Switch Type.
Instructions for setting the Switch Type item are found on
Although the Switch Type item contains more than one protocol
choice for some countries, the date and time format is determined
by the country, not by the switch protocol associated with that
country. For example, there are two choices for Germany (Germany -
EuroISDN or Germany - 1TR6), but both use the same date and
time format.
The date and time format combinations for each country or region
shown in the Switch Type item are listed in the following table.
