Door/Window sensor is displayed on the device list with a RED icon with a status of
no communication since ...
The door/window sensor was discovered and functions properly, but is reporting a status of
no communication since last x minutes. Take the following steps to correct this condition:

Check to see if the sensor LED turns on using the following procedure:
-Generate an opened or closed contact event.
-The LED should blink RED, blink GREEN, and then turn off.
-If the LED does not turn on, replace the batteries with a fresh pair. Be careful to
insert the batteries with the proper polarity.

Restart the MHM program and wait 15 to 20 minutes to see if the sensor icon turns
green.

Reposition the sensor to within five feet of the USB Gateway with a direct line of sight
from sensor antenna to USB Gateway antenna. Make sure that neither is close to any
metal object like a PC tower or electrical appliance.

Replace the batteries with a fresh pair since they may be discharged.

Go to the Discovery screen, delete the sensor, and rediscover it.
