Specifications for Electrical Installation
2.2
These specifications are based on the MEIGaN (Medical electrical installation
guidance notes).
Electrical Requirement
2.3
Power supply voltage
▪
The input line voltage depends on the local electrical distribution system.
▪
Allowable input voltage fluctuation requirement: ±10 %.
▪
Mode of operation: Non-continuous operation (NFPA 70: long time operation) -
needs waiting time (at least 60 times the exposure time) before the next exposure
begins.
▪
Column operation time: Max. 2 min. On / 18 min. off (Ratio 1:9)

This equipment must be connected to a grounded outlet to
fulfill the safety provisions specified in IEC 60364: the 2
edition (2006).
Both PC and equipment must use the same power line are
connected to an MPSO.
Whenever possible, use different power outlets for each
device. If a multiple portable socket outlet (MPSO) must be
used, ensure that the PC and equipment are connected to
the same MPSO.
Use a dedicated power outlet for the power cord. Failure to
do so may result in unstable system operation caused by
power fluctuations.
It is strongly recommended that you install an AVR. An AVR
(automatic voltage regulator) maintains a constant voltage
and allows for continuous operation in the event of power
fluctuation.
