Calibration Status Field
The Calibration Status field provides an indication of how close calibration is to completion.
Begin calibration by clicking on the Initiate button in this field.
Results Panel
The Results panel provides access to the results of the calibration or verification operation.
Calibration/verification begins by clicking on the Initiate button. The following options are
provided in the panel:
Technician: This field must be filled in prior to saving the results data. It identifies the person
who performed this calibration or verification.
Reason: This field must be filled in prior to saving the results data. The contents should
explain the reason the operation was performed, for instance, a reference to a support case or
RMA number.
Calibration Results: When a calibration is performed, the Results field is populated as the
calibration procedure progresses and the following information is provided.
Function: Indicates the DMM function to which the adjustment applies.
Option: Indicates the option of the DMM function to which the adjustment applies.
Item: Indicates the adjustment type that was made (gain, offset, etc.).
Range: Indicates the measurement range to which the adjustment applies.
Minimum: Indicates the smallest allowed value of the adjustment.
Maximum: Indicates the largest allowed value of the adjustment.
Value: Indicates the calculated value of the adjustment.
Pass/Fail: If the calculated adjustment is within tolerances, Pass is indicated. If the
Verification Results: When a verification is performed, the Results field is populated as the
verification procedure progresses and the following information is provided.
Function: Indicates the DMM function being tested.
Option: Indicates the DMM function option being tested.
Range: Indicates the DMM range being tested.
Magnitude: Indicates the ideal magnitude for the given test point.
Frequency: Indicates the ideal frequency for the given test point.
Reading: Indicates the value measured by the DUT.
Reference: Indicates the value measured by the reference DMM or reported by the calibrator.
Minimum: Indicates the smallest allowed value of the reading.
Maximum: Indicates the largest allowed value of the reading.
Error: Indicates the difference between the Reading and Reference.
Error Ratio: Indicates the ratio of the error to the allowed error band. The closer the value is
Pass/Fail: If the measurements are within tolerance, Pass is indicated. If the adjustments are
Save button: When clicked, the calibration or verification data can be saved to a .csv file.
Clear button: When clicked, all the data in the results field will be erased.
