Connect/Disconnect: This button toggles between Connect and Disconnect. When Connect
is selected, the path defined to the right of the button will be made. Choosing Disconnect will
open the defined path.
A → B Drop Menus: From these menus, the input and output of each required path can be
defined. These menus are populated with the channels information for each plug-in card
installed in the EX1200. When 1!CH1_1 is displayed, this indicates Slot 1, channel CH1_1
has been selected.
+ / - Buttons: The +/- buttons allow the user to add or delete connections from the given
scanlist.
Wait before next checkbox: When selected for a connection, the scan list will wait until the
relay has settled before advancing to the next step in the scanlist.
Sweep Field
The Sweep phase of the scan step occurs last and consists only of measurement operations. These
measurements can be performed on any of the channels which have the ability to connect to the
DMM via the backplane (see the EX1200 Switch Card User's Manual for information regarding
switch card capabilities). After clicking on the white entry box, the user can 1) click on the black
configuration button on the right to start the Sweep Wizard (see Figure 7-7). or 2) enter a valid
sweep sub-step string directly into the box. The wizard allows the user to scan any from any
connected switch card, in ascending order, and allows for one DMM configuration to be selected
per channel. The buttons and menus available in the wizard provide the following functions:
Function drop menu: By selecting a specific function from this drop menu, the Sweep
Wizard will only show channels that are capable of performing the selected DMM function.
Only show configs... check box: When selected, the Sweep Wizard menu will only display
DMM configuration that use the function selected by the Function drop menu.
Enabled/Channel: The Enabled checkboxes allow the user to select the Channels that will
be connected to the backplane for each sweep.
DMM Config: This drop menu allows the user to select one of the predefined DMM
configurations. See the DMM Configuration Manager for more information on defining.
Note, if no DMM configurations are saved, an Error will be reported.
