front end of the vehicle, the longitudinal frame
member and the rear area. Use the widest
possible tension straps or chains with suitable
fixtures. If possible, use a lifting bag. Make
sure that no detachable frame components,
lines, cables or hoses become damaged.
The connection point areas of the longitudinal
frame member can be used with the cross
members. Use the widest possible tension
straps. Make sure that no detachable frame
components, lines, cables or hoses become
damaged.
Make sure that the force on the vehicle is
evenly distributed. Pulling on only one side can
lead to frame deformation or cracks.
The tension straps used when righting the
vehicle should, as far as possible, form an
acute-angled, isosceles triangle.
To ensure uniform force, use a towing A-frame,
guide pulleys or load-compensation rolls.
Avoid the application of external force at the
axles and axle connection parts.
Whenever possible, separate vehicle combina-
tions (trailer drawbars, electrical and pneu-
matic connections to the trailer) before right-
ing the vehicle.
Absorb forces while righting and do not allow
the vehicle to bounce on its suspension.
Recovering a stuck vehicle
During recovery with the front and rear
!
recovery and lashing eyelets, make sure not
to exceed a maximum permissible tensile
force of 30 t. The angle of tension on the
vehicle longitudinal axis, evenly distributed
on the left and right eyelets, must not
exceed a maximum of 22.5°. Use the
shackle delivered with the vehicle.
!
During recovery with the trailer coupling,
always comply with the manufacturer's
instructions. Use a towing lug according to
VG 74059 (tension angle max. 15°).
!
During recovery with the front trailer tow
hitch, ensure that a maximum tension force
of 16 t with a suitable towing lug according
to VG 74059 (tension angle max. 15°) is not
exceeded.
To recover a stuck vehicle, use the front tow-
ing eyes provided (

Make sure that the recovery forces initiated
are applied evenly on the left and right eyelets
(front and rear).
Use the widest possible tension straps or
chains with suitable fixtures, a towing bar or
fork. Make sure that no detachable frame
components, lines, cables or hoses become
damaged.
Make sure that the force on the vehicle is
evenly distributed. Pulling on only one side can
lead to frame deformation or cracks.
The tension belts used when pulling out the
vehicle should form, as far as possible, an
acute-angled, isosceles triangle, in order to
exert as little lateral force on the recovery eye-
lets as possible.
To ensure uniform stress, use load-compensa-
tion rolls.
Avoid the application of external force at the
axles and axle connection parts.
As far as possible, avoid pulling at an angle.
When towing at an angle, never exceed a maxi-
mum towing angle of 22.5° in relation to the
vehicle's longitudinal axis.
Righting a stuck vehicle
Righting a vehicle at its front and rear end
simultaneously is prohibited.
To right a stuck vehicle, use the front towing

ery and lashing eyelets (
Make sure that the recovery forces initiated
are applied evenly on the left and right eyelets
(front and rear).
The maximum permissible tensile force is 30 t
vertically on the vehicle longitudinal axis,
applied evenly on the left and right eyelets
(front and rear).
Use the widest possible tension straps or
chains with suitable fixtures, a towing bar or
fork. Make sure that no detachable frame
components, lines, cables or hoses become
damaged.
Make sure that the force of raising the vehicle
is evenly distributed. One-sided hoisting can
lead to frame deformation or cracks.
The tension straps used when pulling out the
vehicle should, as far as possible, form an
acute-angled, isosceles triangle.
To ensure uniform stress, use load-compensa-
tion rolls.
