Refuelling
i Both fuel tanks must be filled separately
because the compensation from both fuel
tanks occurs very slowly.

The vehicle is equipped with two fuel tanks on
the right-hand and left-hand sides of the vehi-
cle. If one of the fuel tanks is defective, it can
be disabled and the other fuel tank can be
used instead.
If shutoff valve ? is open, the fuel should
mainly be taken from right-hand fuel tank :.
i With the cutoff valve open and a fuel tank
filled on one side, a uniform fuel level is ach-
ieved via the expansion line within approx.
3 hours.

To close the fuel expansion line between the
fuel tanks, move the lever of the shutoff
valve diagonally in the direction of flow.

To change from fuel tank I to fuel tank II,
turn fuel switchover valve thumbwheel : to
position 2.
Refuelling
i When refuelling the vehicle for the first
time, make sure a fuel tank on one side is
completely filled. In this manner, the expan-
sion line is depressurised and the correct
function of the expansion line is ensured. If
the expansion line or the drain plug has
been opened, e.g. for maintenance or repair
work, repeat this procedure. The vehicle
may otherwise be refuelled simultaneously
or alternately at the next refuelling.

Be sure to avoid swallowing fuel or letting it
come into contact with skin, eyes or cloth-
ing.
Do not breathe the fuel vapours in. Keep
fuels out of the reach of children.
