For this reason, fold up the step before
beginning your journey. Do not drive with
the step folded down.

To fold out: pull out folding step : fully
and swing down.

To fold in: swing folding step : up and
slide in until it engages under holder ;.
Ladder
Use the ladder and grab handle to perform
maintenance work, or to connect cables and
compressed-air lines. This will allow you to
climb up and down safely. Do not jump off the
vehicle.

High-pressure cleaning

WARNING
The water jet of circular-jet nozzles (dirt
grinders) can cause damage not visible from
the outside to tyres or chassis components.
Components damaged in this way can unex-
pectedly fail. There is a risk of an accident.
Do not use high-pressure cleaners with cir-
cular-jet nozzles to clean the vehicle. Have
damaged tyres or chassis components
replaced immediately.
! Never use a high-pressure cleaner in the
vehicle interior. The pressurised water cre-
ated by the high-pressure cleaner and the
associated spray could cause considerable
damage to the vehicle.
! When using a high-pressure cleaner, keep
a minimum distance between the high-pres-
sure nozzle and the vehicle parts. Parts of
the vehicle or engine can otherwise be dam-
aged.
Observe the following minimum distances:
Round spray jet approximately 70 cm

25°flat-spray jet approximately 30 cm
R
Dirt grinder approximately 30 cm
R
! Keep the water jet moving constantly
while cleaning. In this way you will avoid
causing damage.
Do not point the water jet at:
air intake duct
R
the exhaust system aperture
R
door joints
R
brake lines
R
electrical components
R
plug connectors
R
seals
R
