soft ground. You can only deactivate ABS for
the tractor vehicle.

When the ! indicator lamp in the instru-
ment cluster lights up, ABS is deactivated.
If you use the differential lock switch to acti-
vate the cross-axle lock on the front axle

( page 111), ABS is deactivated.

To activate: press the upper section of but-

When the ! indicator lamp in the instru-
ment cluster goes out, ABS is activated.
Parking brake
Important safety notes

WARNING
If children are left unattended in the vehicle,
they could in particular:
open doors, thereby endangering other

persons or road users.
get out and be struck by oncoming traffic.

operate vehicle equipment and become
R
trapped, for example.
In addition, the children could also set the
vehicle in motion, for example by:
releasing the parking brake.

changing the transmission position.
R
you start the vehicle.
R
There is a risk of accident and injury.
Never leave children unattended in the vehi-
cle.
When leaving the vehicle, always take the
key with you and lock the vehicle.
Keep the key out of the reach of children.

WARNING
The parking brake may not be sufficient to
secure the vehicle on uphill and downhill
gradients. A loaded vehicle or a vehicle with
trailer/semitrailer may roll away. There is a
risk of an accident.
In the control position, check whether the
parking brake alone can hold the entire vehi-
cle. The tractor unit and trailer/semitrailer
should normally be secured using the park-
ing brake and wheel chocks.
In the check position, the vehicle/tractor/
trailer combination is only held by the spring-
loaded brake cylinder of the towing vehicle.
You can find further information about the
parking brake of the trailer/semitrailer in the
manufacturer's operating instructions.
