MODULE CONTROL

The 7814 series of products are controlled using VistaLINK
Ethernet and SNMP control protocols. The 7814 series modules DO NOT HAVE card edge controls. As a
result, 7700FC/7800FC modules must be installed in all frames that house 7814 series modules. Refer to
the Evertz website for the most recent firmware for the 7700FC/7800FC. When using VistaLINK
is also important to ensure that the most recent 7814 series ".JAR" control file is installed. Refer to the
Evertz website for the most recent 7814 series ".JAR" file.
For the sake of brevity, the following sections describe module controls in terms of the parameters found
within the VLPRO screens for the 7814UDX-AES8-3G-2+UMX2+ICL2+IG2. The vast majority of controls
are the same for the UC, the XC and HDC versions of 7814 series modules. Exceptions to this are
outlined in section 1.2 of this manual. As additional features and options are released, additional sections
will be appended to this manual to show those control screens.
