Command: In Identification (for V.22bis)
This command causes the modem to reports the requested result according to the
command parameter.
Values: n = 0–7

Values: n = 0, 1, 2, or 3
Default: 2
Description: This command sets the speaker volume control. The parameter value, if valid, is written to
S22 bits 0 and 1.

Values: n = 0, 1, 2, or 3
Default: 1
Description: This command selects when the speaker will be on or off. The parameter value, if valid, is
written to S22 bits 2 and 3.

Command: On Return to Online Data Mode
Values: 0, 4, 5
Default: None
Description: This command determines how the modem will enter the on-line data mode. If in the on-line
command mode, the modem enters the on-line data mode with or without a retrain. If in the
off-line command mode (no connection), the modem reports ERROR.

Reports product code, e.g., "2400".
Reports the least significant byte of the stored checksum in decimal. Reports
255 if the prestored checksum value is FFh.
