Standard liquid ends:

Check the condition of the metering dia‐
phragm
Tightening torques
Liquid ends with integral relief valve
Maintenance work
Change gear oil - refer to "Changing gear oil" in this chapter.
Check the oil level.
Check that the metering lines are tight at the liquid end and
n
check for leak-tightness.
Check that the suction valve and discharge valve are firmly fixed
n
in place and tightly sealed.
Check that the dosing head screws are tight.
n
Check the condition of the metering diaphragm, see
n
the condition of the metering diaphragm' on page 67 .
Check that the flow is correct: Allow the pump to prime briefly.
n
Check that the electrical connections are intact.
n
* With normal loading (approx. 30% of continuous operation).
With heavy loading (e.g. continuous operation, aggressive feed chemicals
etc.): shorter intervals.
The diaphragm is a wearing part, the service life of which is dependent on
the following parameters:
Back pressure of the system,
n
Operating temperature,
n
Feed chemical properties.
n
The diaphragm service life is reduced when using abrasive feed chemi‐
cals. In these cases, more frequent checking of the diaphragm is recom‐
mended.

sion can jump out.
