Use a suitable flushing medium to flush the pump, referring to the
material safety data sheet for the feed chemical.
Check the pump installation for:
leaks
n
abnormal noises or squeaks
n
abnormal temperatures
n
abnormal odours
n
abnormal vibrations
n
other anomalies
n
WARNING!
In the area at risk from explosion: Stop the pump safely
and as quickly as possible and rectify these anomalies.
ProMinent Service may be needed if required.
Under heavy loading (e.g. continuous operation) shorter maintenance
intervals are recommended than those given.
Third-party spare parts for the pumps can lead to problems when
pumping.
Only use original spare parts.

Use the correct spare parts kits. If in doubt, refer to the exploded
n
views and order information in the appendix or on our website
www.prominent.com.
Maintenance work
Check that the metering lines are tight at the liquid end and
n
check for leak-tightness.
Check that the suction valve and discharge valve are firmly fixed
n
in place and tightly sealed.
Check the leak-tightness of the entire liquid end - particularly
n
around the leakage hole!
With critical applications, check or replace the diaphragm at reg‐

Check that the dosing head screws are tight.

Check that the diaphragm rupture sensor is firmly seated.
n
Check whether the diaphragm rupture sensor stops the pump or
n
generates an alarm after it has been triggered.
Check that the flow is correct: Allow the pump to prime briefly.
n
Observe the maximum permissible operating pressure!
Check that the electrical connections are intact.
n
Check the tight, clean electrical connection of the earthing wires.
n
Check the tight, clean electrical connection of the potential
n
equalisation wires.
Check the gear ring / double tooth (DZ) element of the coupling as
per their operating instructions.
Adhere to the motor manufacturer's recommendations - see oper‐
ating instructions for the motor.
After 40,000 h: All pump bearings must be replaced for ongoing
ATEX use.
