3.8 Detaching the Header

3.8.1 Detaching the Header: M1240 Windrowers

DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and
remove the key from the ignition before leaving the operator's seat for any reason.
CAUTION
Check to be sure all bystanders have cleared the area.
1. Start the engine, and press switch (A) to raise the
header to the maximum height.
2. Stop the engine and remove key from ignition.
3. Open the left-side platform. For instructions, refer to the windrower operator's manual.
4. Disconnect the following electrical harness and
hydraulic hoses from the windrower:
a. Disconnect the disc pressure hose from fitting (A).
b. Disconnect the disc return hose from fitting (B).
c. Disconnect the case drain hose from fitting (C).
d. Disconnect the electrical harness from
receptacle (D).
