4.11 Tall Crop Feed Plates

The tall crop feed plates (A) assist in feeding tall crops into
the conditioner by aiding material flow from behind cage
deflectors (B).
The feed plates are designed for installation under the two
cage deflectors. They are stored inside the compartment at
the right end of the header.
Tall crop feed plates should only be installed when cutting
tall, heavier crops; they can degrade cutterbar performance
if used in medium to light alfalfa.
