4. Inspect condition of belt (A). Replace if damaged or
showing signs of cracking or separation.
5. Check that adjuster nut (B) is tight.
6. Check that end of slots (C) are aligned with plate (D).
7. If necessary, adjust tension as follows:
a. Loosen jam nut (E).
b. Turn adjuster nut (B) until end of slots (C) are
aligned with plate (D).
c. Tighten jam nut (E).
8. Close the driveshield. Refer to
30.

DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and
remove the key from the ignition before leaving the operator's seat for any reason.
1. Lower the header fully.
2. Stop the engine and remove the key.
