Maintenance of the sealing pad

 Replace the silicone profile if defective. The silicone is lightly glued into the groove of the sealing pad
and can be easily removed.
 Clean the groove with acetone before inserting the new silicone profile. Also use this opportunity to
clean the sealing bars according to the details in the previous chapter.
CAUTION
Risk of fire! Acetone is highly inflammable! No smoking and no naked flames!
 Remove the protective foil from the adhesive layer on the new silicone profile.
 Carefully insert the silicone profile exactly into the groove.
Recommendation
Keep a complete set of sealing pads in stock. This means that they can be changed whenever
necessary without interrupting production too much! Send the used set of sealing pads to the
VC999 Customer Service Department to be reconditioned.
