WARNING
Risk of injuries due to moving parts, or risk of fatal electric shock!
The machine MUST be switched off before faults are repaired. Before this work gets under way,
switch off the main switch and put on a padlock to prevent the machine being switched on
inadvertently. Keep the key out of the reach of other people!
All repairs must be carried out by the VC999 Customer Service Department!

Displayed faults

Error and fault messages are shown on the LED display. Refer to the table below for information about
the causes of faults and the procedure for rectifying them:

vacuum pump has been
triggered.
The phase sequence of the
network is incorrect.
The vacuum chamber will not
open.
The lid of the vacuum
chamber sprung open before
sealing.
The vacuum setpoint has not
been reached
(after max. 90 seconds)
The inert gas setpoint has not
been reached
(after max. 60 seconds)
Soft preventilation setpoint has
not been reached
(after max. 60 seconds)
Possible cause
Vacuum pump overheated
Vacuum pump is faulty.
The mains cable has been
incorrectly connected.
Compressed air not connected
Main valve on mains closed
Leak in compressed air supply line
Setting on FRL unit too low
The vacuum pump was switched off
during the packaging cycle.
The selected intermediate
ventilation value is too high.
The seal of the lid is leaking.
Leak in the vacuum system.
The gas cylinder is empty.
The setpoint setting is too low.
Initialisation of the chambers is
incorrect
See display on the operator console
of the counter-chamber
Dirt or foreign matter in the closing
area
Protective strip is flawed

How to rectify it
Switch off the machine and wait until the
vacuum pump had cooled down.
Call the VC999 Customer Service
Department.
Switch two of the three phases of the
mains cable at the terminal strip!
Connect compressed air
(s. section. „Pneumatics Installation)
Open main valve
Check supply line for leaks, remedy leaks
where necessary
Set on 6 bars
Wait until the vacuum chamber has
become fully aerated and the lid of the
vacuum chamber opens automatically.
Lower the setting.
Check the seal of the lid and replace it if it
is faulty.
Call the VC999 Customer Service
Department.
Replace the gas cylinder with a full one.
Raise the setpoint setting.
Call the VC999 Customer Service
Take action according to display or call
the VC999 Customer Service
Clean the protective strip and the contact
surface, remove foreign matter
Call the VC999 Customer Service
Department.
