13.3.6.3 Cleaning the suction filter

Clean the suction filter (5) for the vacuum pump by
blowing air through it or washing it out. The regularity
with which this has to be done depends on the dirt
content in the air taken in. The suction filter is located
at the suction fitting for the pump under the lid.

13.3.6.4 Replacing oil separator elements

When the pump has been in operation for a long
time, the flow of air through the pump can be blocked
by particles of dirt trapped in the oil separator
elements. The pump then consumes more current. In
extreme cases, this can cause the vacuum packaging
machine to cut out. There is also no longer any
guarantee that the particles of oil will be effectively
separated from the air. In that case both oil separator
elements (6) have to be replaced. In order to do this,
take the screws out of the cover (7) of the oil
separator insert housing in order to remove it. The oil
separator elements can then be replaced.
