Pouring in oil

If the oil was drained out of the vacuum pumps for
transporting the machine, fill in oil before putting the
machine into operation. Check the oil level at the
sight glass (1).
For checking the oil level and for filling in oil, remove
the lateral panelling on the left. In case of the
machine versions VC999 K12A and VC999 K12NA,
additionally remove the rear wall on the right.
Procedure
Check the sight glass (1) on the vacuum pump to
ensure that there is no oil in the oil chamber.
Open the filler neck (2).
Pour oil in slowly until the oil level rises to the
"max." mark.
Close the filler neck (2).
After a short period of operation of the vacuum
pumps, check the oil level and if necessary top up
oil.
Fit the panelling sheets back onto the machine.
NOTICE
Only use an oil which has been recommended by the pump manufacturer! Read the section on
"Recommended oils" for details of the recommended oils. If an oil with different properties is
used, this may lead to faulty operation or to damage!
