Operation
NOTICE
Whenever you are packaging foodstuffs or sterile products, it is essential that you comply with
the relevant hygiene regulations. Otherwise, foodstuffs may go off or products become
unusable!
9.3.2

Packaging materials

Size of bags
The packaging materials must be the right size for
the product. The bag must also be big enough to
ensure that the products do not reach the opening,
even when the bag is lying on its side.
There must be at least 5 cm of bag left over in order
to enable it to be sealed.
Lie the vacuum bag flat on the sealing pad.
NOTICE
Ensure that the bag does not protrude so far out past the sealing pad that it is trapped by the lid
of the vacuum chamber when the vacuum chamber is closed!
9.3.3

Preparing the products for packaging

NOTICE
Comply with hygiene regulations in handling and packaging foodstuffs and products which
have to be sterile! Otherwise, there is a risk of food poisoning or infections!
 Clean the product which is being packaged.
 Place the portion of the product into the vacuum
bag. Make sure that the opening of the bag is not
soiled by the product.
 Filling tools such as funnels or scoops are
available as accessories. You can obtain further
information about the range of accessories from
our Customer Service Department.
