Maintenance
 After a short period of operation of the vacuum pumps, check the oil levels and if necessary top up
oil.
 Close the filler neck (2) and fit the panelling sheets back onto the machine.

13.3.6.2 Oil changes

NOTICE
Before you change the oil, check that the machine is switched off and has been unplugged at
the mains!
NOTICE
In order to drain off all the oil, do it while the vacuum pump is still warm after operation if
possible!
Procedure
 Remove the lateral panelling on the left. In case of the machine versions VC999 K12A and VC999
K12NA, additionally remove the rear wall on the right.
 Place the container for the used oil under
the oil drain outlets (3, 4).
 Unscrew the cap (2) from the oil filler
neck.
 Loosen the screws from the oil drain
outlets (3, 4) and let the used oil drain
into the container.
 Close the oil drain outlet again.
 Pour in oil, but stop when the oil level reaches
the "max." mark.
 After a short period of operation of the
vacuum pumps, check the oil levels and
if necessary top up oil.
 Screw the cap back onto the filler and re-
attach the panel.
 Dispose of the used oil in accordance
with regulations. Take it to a used oil
collection point.
NOTICE
Only use an oil which has been recommended by the pump manufacturer! Read the section on
"Recommended oils" for details of the recommended oils. If an oil with different properties is
