Maintenance and servicing

Maintenance work is carried out on the machine continuously depending on use in order to ensure that
it is working properly.
We recommend that the machine has a full service once a year at least.
The VC999 Customer Service Department is available for all maintenance and servicing, on request.
After every 4,000 or so packaging cycles
 Check the sealing bars and the sealing pads, replace the Teflon strips and sealing wires.
 Check the vacuum filter. If soiled, replace the filter cartridge. This procedure is explained in the
section "Vacuum filter: Replace filter cartridge".
After about 500 hours in service
 Change the vacuum pumps oil. The procedure for changing the oil is described in the section on
"Maintenance of the vacuum pumps".
13.3.1

Pneumatic servicing unit

The pneumatic maintenance unit is located in the left-
had section of the machine. To access the
maintenance unit, remove the rear wall on the left.
Empty the condensate container at regular intervals
through the water drain valve (1).

For emptying, press the water drain valve
upwards (1).
13.3.2

Replacing the seal on the lid

 Remove faulty lid seals and dispose of them.
 If this happens, clean the channel in the lid.
 Place a new lid seal into the channel. Make sure that it is not too tight.
NOTICE
Ensure that the ends of the lid seal meet in the channel!
