In order for the high-voltage battery to achieve
the maximum possible service life, it should
always be sufficiently charged. Have the bat‐
tery's charge level checked if you park the vehi‐
cle for a long period of time. Exhaustive dis‐
charging caused by the vehicle standing idle for
lengthy periods can damage the high-voltage
battery. If the vehicle is idle for lengthy periods,
run it for a few minutes once every four weeks to
charge up the high-voltage battery.
Risk of explosion.
Fire, naked flames and smoking are
prohibited when handling the battery.
Avoid creating sparks.
Electrolyte or battery acid is corro‐
sive. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes
or clothing. Wear suitable protective
clothing, in particular gloves, an
apron and a face mask. Immediately
rinse electrolyte or acid splashes off
with clean water. Consult a doctor if
necessary.
Wear safety glasses.
Keep children away.
Observe this Owner's Manual.
