Pre-entry climate control at departure time
function
& WARNING Risk of fatal injury due to
exposure to extreme heat or cold in the
vehicle
If people –particularly children – are exposed
to extreme temperatures over an extended
period of time, there is a risk of serious or
even fatal injury!
Never leave anyone – particularly chil‐
#
dren – unattended in the vehicle.
Never leave animals in the vehicle unat‐
#
tended.
The vehicle interior can be heated or ventilated
when the vehicle is parked.
When the vehicle is connected to power supply
equipment, priority is given to charging the high-
voltage battery to a specified minimum charge.
The pre-entry climate control running time may
be reduced under the following conditions:
the vehicle is not connected to power supply
R
equipment
the high-voltage battery is not fully charged
R
With active pre-entry climate control, the charge
level of the high-voltage battery may be reduced,
even if the charging cable connector is connec‐
ted.
When cooling, the following functions are activa‐
ted as needed:
Automatic climate control

R
Seat ventilation
R
When heating, the following functions are activa‐
ted as needed:
Automatic climate control
