172 Driving and parking
If a vehicle in front is detected, the speed is
reduced.
If the vehicle detects road and traffic conditions
that require deceleration, the vehicle is no lon‐
ger driven and coasts. For active deceleration,
you must release the accelerator pedal and, if
necessary, also press the brake pedal.
The function of the drive program may be restric‐
ted in the following situations:
if visibility is poor (e.g. due to insufficient illu‐
R
mination of the road, highly variable shade
conditions, rain, snow, fog or heavy spray).
if there is glare (e.g. from oncoming traffic,
R
direct sunlight or reflections).
if there is dirt on the windscreen in the vicin‐
R
ity of the multifunction camera or the camera
is misted up, damaged or obscured.
if traffic signs are hard to discern (e.g. due to
R
dirt, snow or insufficient lighting, or because
they are obscured).
if radar sensors ( page 197) are dirty, cov‐
/
R
ered up or damaged.

Function on: the next time the vehicle is started
a prompt appears asking whether the last active
drive program should be restored.

profile separately. The drive program for the
respective user profile of the last driver is
only stored if this function is activated.
