* NOTE Damage caused to the high-volt‐
age battery through lengthy idle periods
or exhaustive discharging
Lengthy idle periods with a high charge level
may result in an accelerated ageing of the
high-voltage battery.
Exhaustive discharging caused by the battery
being idle for lengthy periods can damage
the high-voltage battery.
Before long idle periods, park the vehi‐
#
cle with a high-voltage battery charge
level between 30% and 50%. Do not
keep the high-voltage battery continu‐
ously connected to power supply equip‐
ment.
Check the charge level of the high-volt‐
#
age battery every two to three months.
Recharge the high-voltage battery if the
charge level is insufficient.
As a result of its basic characteristics, the
amount of energy available from the high-voltage
battery decreases over the course of its life.
Due to this, the maximum range that can be ach‐
ieved by the vehicle is reduced and the maxi‐
mum output (acceleration) of the vehicle can be
reduced.
You can contribute to reducing the vehicle's
energy consumption in the following ways:
An anticipatory driving style (
R
Reduced use of electrical consumers
R
Having the vehicle regularly maintained

The charging time of the high-voltage battery
may change over the course of its life.
