Important Information about Dog Ear Jams
A minor change was made to the shape of the fusing exit guide (see areas outlined in
red below). This was to further minimize the occurrence of "dog ear" paper jams, which
may occur with some paper types.
Since this was a minor change, the part number was not changed. It is still M0524201
(Guide: Exit: Fusing).
If dog ear paper jams are reported, replace the fusing exit guide with the "AFTER" type
by checking the shape of the part.
Note: This new fusing exit guide has been used in machine mainframes since November 2011
production.
