Non-feed jam
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The symptom may occur when one or more of the following conditions are met:
1. The end fence is not set correctly.
2. The pad on the bottom plate contacts the paper tray Mylar.
3. The paper size detection mechanism is disengaged.
4. The paper feed pressure is not strong enough to handle the paper.
SOLUTION
In the field:
Do the following procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. Check to see whether the end fence has been set correctly.
If it has not been set correctly, go to Step 2 (attaching a spacer/decal).
If it has been set correctly, go to Step 3.
2. Attach the P/N M0212570 spacer behind the end fence using double-sided tape OR,
attach the M0218840 decal as shown.
If the customer uses several paper sizes in one tray, attach the decal instead of the
spacer. Otherwise, attach the spacer.

Important: Before attaching the spacer/decal, clean the dust off the attachment surface.
