SYMPTOM
One or both of the following occur:
Paper Jam (Code: B)
Damage to the leading edge of the paper
CAUSE
Machines produced before April 2013:

The Mylar was not manufactured correctly by the vendor
-
The Mylar was not attached correctly at the machine assembly factory (REI)
Machines in April 2013 and after (estimated cause):
-
It is difficult to attach the Mylar (P/N: M0213026) in the correct position in the field
As a result, even after countermeasures were applied at the parts factory (angle of Mylar
improved) and machine factory (a new tool is used for attachment), the symptom still
occurs in the field.
SOLUTION
The film that covers the adhesive surface of the Mylar was separated into two pieces, so
that the Mylar can be attached more easily.
In the field:
Replace the Mylar with the modified one (see Procedure below).
