and Controls
Restriction: If several lines are selected, only complete lines are enclosed
by the block.
Block enumeration: Automatic NC or CPL block enumeration is possible.
Commands can be selected via:
Function keys
Keyboard shortcuts.
Syntax highlighting displays NC block components in different colors according
to their syntactic meaning and their status (e.g. faulty).
Differentiation is made among:
NC words
Comments and notes
NC/CPL block numbers
Label agreements
Jump commands (conditional/unconditional jump)
The corresponding user rights are required for editing and to reselect a pro‐
gram. If the user does not have editing rights, the program can be opened, but
in read-only mode only. If user rights are insufficient, a way to enter the rights
is provided.
If the active program is retrieved via the NC screen or the MTX Navigator, the
program is automatically selected again after the "Save query" (answer "Yes")
and the "Reselection query" (answer "Yes"). Beforehand, it is checked whether
all requirements for reselection are met. If the reselection query is not answered
with "Yes", the program is not saved and is thus not selected.
If the program contains GNP cycle calls, a compiler to translate these cycles is
retrieved beforehand (software license required).
If reselection is impossible (channel active), the channel can be reset so that
saving and reselection can be repeated.
After opening the editor, the cursor is located on the block currently processed
in the NC kernel. This line is marked in case the active NC program has been
opened. If the editor is opened from the NC simulation, the current cursor po‐
sition is identical to the latest simulated block. In case the error/warning is
program-related (partial program error, GNP error, error from the simulation),
the curser is placed on the error first identified.
<Ctrl>+<S>
This function saves the NC program in the directories of the user interface and
cleans the internal error list of the editor.
If the NC program has been created, a file dialog box appears to assign an
identifier to the NC program and specify the storage location.
By default, the identifier is set to "NPG_ <time stamp>" (year/month/day_hour/
minute_second), but can be modified by the user. The file suffix is set by default
to "npg" (for "NC program"). The "Cancel" button aborts the "Save" function.
When the "Save" button is pressed, the program is saved to the NC program
directory under the identifier shown.
