Program Section Display
Display Contents
These are read either using the cyclic drive telegraph (see also S-0-0016
"Config. list drive telegraph") or directly using the need data channel from the
drive.
The configuration using the cycle telegraph should be used preferably so that
the need data channel is not overloaded unnecessarily.

In order to activate the transmission in the cycle telegraph, the SERCOS
configuration files, e.g. "p2ispiXX.scs" (spindle) or "p2icaxXX.scs" (spin‐
dle C axis) have to be adapted correspondingly.
For this, the SERCOS parameters S-0-0084 and S-0-0382 have to be
incorporated into S-0-0016:
S-0-0016 = (S-0-0084,S-0-0382,...); torque/power ac-
tual value, intermediate circuit performance
Within the MTX, S-0-0016 currently is limited to a maximum of five signals.
If safety technology is used, the five signals may be insufficient.
In this case, transmission is effected using the need data channel.

Transmission using the need data channel is activated automatically by
switching on the spindle display (technology display) in the operation
desktop or by retrieving the motion control services
MCODS(111,...) => spindle performance
MCODS(110,...) => spindle torque
.
The display for spindle torque and performance is based on the following SER‐
COS parameters:

S-0-0092:
Max. torque (torque/power limit bipolar) in [%].
S-0-0092 mostly results from the existing motor/amplifier combination
(value in the drive). A value in [%] corresponding to the full amplitude of
the bar can be specified for every spindle in the options dialog box of the
technology display. Using this it is possible to set an optimal amplitude
range for a spindle torque bar for every spindle.

S-0-0158:
Max. performance (performance limit Px) in [W].
During startup of the spindle the value has to be set to a valid value in the
p2-scs files. S-0-0158 should be set to the 1.5-fold of the nominal per‐
formance.
The spindle services do not provide any values in C axis operation.
If the drive does not support the parameters S-0-0382 or S-0-0084
(e.g. Servodyn-D), a value of 0 is always displayed.
The program section display is used to show the program section of a running
NC program.
