and Controls
NC program restart is used to create the required states in the control system
and the machine. NC program restart requires a target block being specified.
The target block can be located both within the selected NC program and within
a subroutine. In the function "Block search" program processing begins at the
target block, a freely selectable program block. Until then, i.e. from the first
program block up to the block in front of the target block, the program blocks
are processed logically with axis output and help functions blocked. Processing
and execution of NC instructions starts with the target block.
The function NC program restart is still limited! Also see the docu‐
mentation "Description of Functions", section "NC program re‐
start".
The default M-key function is the key "NC program restart" in the level "Program
functions".
When NC program restart is retrieved, the selected NC program is displayed.
The cursor is normally located on the 1st block of the displayed NC program.
If the program has already been processed previously using block search, the
previously selected block is marked.
Using F-key "Open subroutine", the corresponding subroutine is displayed if a
subroutine retrieval has been written in the selected block.
If the selected block does not contain a subroutine retrieval, this is indicated by
an info text.
If the selected NC block contains a GNP cycle retrieval, the compiled GNP
subroutine is opened.
Pressing F-key "Close subroutine" closes the open subroutine and jumps back
to the retrieving program. An info text appears if no subroutines are open any
longer, i.e. jumping back is not possible.
The program block from which the NC is to start processing the program is
called the target block. The start block is always the beginning of the program.
The target block can be located either in the selected NC program or in a sub‐
routine.
Pressing the F-key "Apply block" will start the NC program restart, close the
application and show the Comparison screen.
Following the run of the NC program restart function, it is required to compare
control and machine statuses
The related data are marked with a comparison symbol in the Comparison
screen:
Axis
Spindles
Auxiliary functions
Tools
The screen is displayed after the start of the calculation process via the F-key
"Apply block".
