Notes:
The Trunk Access Code and Collector Timeout parameters are required for Voice Hairpinning.
If a remote user reports that it takes too long to make a local call, you may have to reduce the Collector
Timeout parameter and the corresponding PBX setting.
6. Use the arrow keys (→, ↓ ) to access the Key Mapping menu for the port as shown below:

Configuration->Port->Ports_1-8->Port_1->More->Key_Mapping
7. Enter a value for the Local Dialing Key parameter. When the user presses this line key, he will have
instant access to the local dialing trunk.
8. Use the arrow keys (→, ↓ ) to access the Line Appearance Keys parameter. Set this parameter to
identify the function keys on the remote telephone which indicates the line is active. The remote user
answers a call by pressing a Line Appearance Key.
9. Set the Speaker Key parameter.
10. Make sure the Auto Offhook parameter matches the setting in the PBX.
11. Repeat steps 1 to 10 for each telephone (port) that will support Voice Hairpinning.
12. Use the arrow keys to return to the Save option.
13. Press Enter to save changes to the active config (.rem) file.

Configuring Caller ID

Use the menu path below to configure Caller ID. This will enable Caller ID on all ports using T1/PRI_Port_1
connection between the EXTender and the PBXgateway II. For PBX configuration please consult the PBX-
gateway II System Administrator's Guide - Chapter 7 - PBX Configuration.
1. Press the → key to access the Caller ID settings.
2. Press the → key to set Enable to Yes.
