3. Access the Local Dialing Menu.

Configuration->Port->Default->More->Local Dialing
4. Set the Dial String Collector Timeout parameter correctly. After this time-out period has expired, the
keys pressed by the remote user will be captured and used to facilitate Voice Hairpinning. We recom-
mend a value of 5 seconds.
Notes:
The Trunk Access Code and Local Access Code parameters are required for Voice Hairpinning in
this 2 to 1 configuration.
If a remote user reports that it takes too long to make a local call, you may have to reduce the Collector
Timeout parameter and the corresponding PBX setting.
5. Use the arrow keys (→, ↓ ) to access the default Key Mapping menu shown below:

6. Use the arrow keys (→, ↓ ) to access the Line Appearance Keys parameter. Set this parameter to
identify the function keys on the remote telephone which indicates the line is active. The remote user
answers a call by pressing a Line Appearance Key.
7. Set the Speaker Key parameter.
8. Make sure the Auto Offhook parameter matches the setting in the PBX.
9. Use the arrow keys to return to the Save option.
10. Press Enter to save changes to the active config (.rem) file.You have completed configuring the first
EXTender 7000 to be used in a 2 to 1 Configuration.
Repeat the steps to configure the second EXTender 7000 unit. Remember that the second remote unit must
