2. Set the Enabled parameter to Yes.
3. Set the Mode parameter to PRI.
4. Set the Node Type parameter to User so that the T1/PRI port will be in User Mode.
5. Set the Switch Type, Line Code, and Framing parameters with values provided by the Telco (CO)/
PBX Administrator.
6. Select a value for the Line Build Out parameter to attenuate the signal before it leaves the EXTender
7000. Use a value recommended by the Telco (CO) or PBX Administrator.
7. Use the arrow keys to access the DS0_Default Channel Setup menu, as shown below:

Configuration->WAN->T1/PRI_Port(WAN3)->T1/PRI_Port_2->
Channel Setup->DS0_Default
The following menu appears:
8. Set the Enabled parameter to Yes.
9. Set the Direction parameter to Both. This parameter indicates the direction data will travel on the DS0
channel. The value Both means the channel will handle both inbound and outbound traffic.
10. Enter 80 into the Services parameter. This parameter enables you to select the services you wish to
use to connect to the CO/PBX. The value 80 assigns T1/PRI Voice Service to all DS0 channels.
11. Set the Connect Type parameter to Dialup.

Setting the Local Trunk Parameters

You must identify one of the MCK T1/PRI ports as the Local Trunk port.
1. Access the Local Trunk menu using the following path:
MI Path
Configuration->Services->Local_Trunk
This menu has a single parameter: T1/PRI Port.
2. Set this parameter to T1/PRI_Port2.

Set the Local Dialing Parameters

1. For each remote telephone, follow the steps detailed in "Set the Local Dialing Parameters on page' 72.
These parameters must be set for each telephone port.
2. When finished, press the ← key to accept changes and go back to the Configuration Menu.
3. Press the ↓ key to the Save parameter.
