6.2.1

Preparation of gas supply

Example for gas supply. Deviations are possible depending on the manufacturer
1 Gas cylinder
2 Hand wheel (left = open, right = closed)
3 Manometer for indicating the gas cylinder's
pressure
4 Flow meter
• Connect gas supply hose and gas hose of pressure reducing valve (pressure reducing valve not
included in delivery) to the stud welder.
• Open hand wheel (item 2) of gas cylinder.

• Open shut-off valve (item 5).
• Use control cock (item 7) to set shielding gas flow rate to a maximum of 4 - 5 I/min.

Instructions for welding with shielding gas

• Set the parameters required for your welding task according to the table.

2 Gas shroud
3 Welding stud
