NOTE: The outer strands must not be able to move with
respect to the inner strands. The weld must not
exceed the diameter of the rope.
b. If a welder is not available, the cut is to be made with
an acetylene torch. The cut is to be made in such a
way that both ends of the rope are completely fused
so that all inner and outer strands are bonded
together, preventing any movement between
strands.
NOTE: The outer strands must not be allowed to move
with respect to the inner strands. The fused end
must not exceed the diameter of the rope.
3. Once the cuts have been completed, the seizing bands
are to be left in place.
GROVE
O-RING, SEAL AND ELASTIC NUT
REPLACEMENT
Replace O-rings and gaskets whenever they are disturbed.
Never mix new and old seals or O-rings regardless of
condition. Always lubricate new seals and O-rings (unless
stated otherwise) with 10W30 oil or petroleum jelly before
installation. Replace all used elastic locknuts with new parts.

HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TESTING

Prior to pressure testing, be sure all hoses are in good
condition and all fittings are tight.
Use a pressure gauge with a range that is high enough to
measure the specific pressure.
Comply with the correct procedure to inhibit damage to the
system or the equipment and eliminate the possibility of
injury.
