Removing / inserting the PSD (security device)

Caution! Remove the PSD in exceptional cases only, e.g. if you need to send
the franking system or PSD to Customer Support. The connector of the PSD
is designed for a maximum of 30 connection cycles (removal / insertion).
Caution! When the franking machine or the PSD was in a cold environment
(i.e. below 10 °C / 50 °F) before: Wait for at least two hours before connecting
and commissioning the PostBase Vision franking machine. The franking
machine needs this time to adapt to the environmental conditions allowing any
condensed moisture to escape.
Removing the PSD
• Turn PostBase Vision off.
PostBase Vision will complete any current
actions, lowers the display and then switches
3 seconds
off.
• Unplug the power plug from the outlet.
• Unplug the power cable from the power
• Press the clip catch on the cover of the
connection of the franking machine.
PSD slot in the direction of the arrow and
remove the cover.
