Fire-protection module

The fire-protection module is a mechanical housing for lithium-ion batteries with prismatic
cells. Prismatic lithium-ion cells have a venting valve, which opens when heat flows
through the cell.
When heat flows through a cell and possibly also propagates to other cells within the
lithium-ion battery, the fire-protection module ensures that:
The resulting gases do not lead to an explosion or self-ignite as a result of the flying
sparks from the lithium-ion cells
Flying parts are prevented
Surrounding lithium-ion batteries are protected against propagation

Smoke degasification duct

The smoke degasification duct is intended for the indoor version. Always consult
INTILION GmbH before performing indoor installation.
WARNING
The smoke degasification duct is located in the base of the battery storage system and is
connected to the inside of the control cabinet. The gas is guided to the outside via the
smoke degasification duct, thereby preventing the potential consequences of the gas for
the system and the direct vicinity.
The operating company is responsible for the removal of the smoke gases if necessary.

Operating modes

The battery storage system is designed for automatic mode.

Risk of injury!
The targeted removal of smoke gases by the smoke degasification duct is
mandatory when the battery storage system is installed inside buildings.
A pipe should be guided to the outside via the degasification opening
underneath the AC unit.
