10.2.2.10 Loading the battery storage system

Safety
Observe the following safety instructions when transporting the battery storage system or
its components:
The battery storage system and its components must only ever be transported by
appropriately trained and qualified personnel (forklift truck/crane driver with certificate
of competence) and in compliance with all of the safety instructions.
When selecting suitable lifting devices and load-carrying equipment, always take into
account the weight of the heaviest components (see the operating manual for
weights).
If the battery storage system is lifted at the attachment points, the lifting device must
be designed such that it can bear a weight of 1000 kg at a height of 3 m.
When carrying out work, always wear protective work clothing, safety boots, protective
gloves and a safety helmet.
Always have an addition person to secure the transport route.
Keep the working area neat and tidy.
Make sure that there are no persons in the path of travel or underneath suspended
loads.
Do not use pipelines or attachment parts as attachment points. Transport lugs on
components (e.g. electric motor) are only intended for lifting the individual components
and not for lifting the entire battery storage system. Only lift the battery storage system
at the designated points.
Always lift the battery storage system slowly and carefully in order to ensure safety
and stability. Guide the battery container through a rope in order to prevent swinging
or twisting.
Permissible transport aids
Shackles or hooks must be selected based on the transport weight of the battery storage
system, and must only be attached at the designated attachment points.
Prevent the carrying chains or ropes from coming into contact with the battery storage
system. If this is not possible, take the necessary precautions in order to rule out damage
to the battery storage system.
Adjust the length of the carrying aids so as to ensure that the battery storage system can
be transported horizontally.
