1.3.1

Information on the performance guarantee

The performance guarantee can be ordered as an optional extra, and the contract is
concluded with INTILION GmbH.
With the conclusion of this contract, INTILION GmbH guarantees that the remaining
useful battery capacity does not fall below a relative minimum value for the specified
battery capacity.
The State of Health (SoH) (a classifying factor for the remaining useful capacity of a
battery) is an indication of the ageing condition of the battery storage system.
The test procedure for determining the SoH is described in Section "1.3.2 Determining the
State of Health", and is valid in the event of a claim made under the performance
guarantee.
1.3.2

Determining the State of Health

The State of Health (SoH) should be determined using the following standard test
procedure:
The temperature inside the battery storage system during the test must be within the
range of 23 °C ± 5 °C.
The battery storage system must be fully discharged (until the discharge end voltage
or a State of Charge (SoC) of 0% is reached; whichever comes first) with a current
rate of 1/3 C (1 C corresponds to current in amperes (A), which in this case has the
same value as the nominal capacity of a cell in ampere hours (Ah)).
The battery storage system is left in active standby for 30 minutes.
The battery storage system must be fully charged using the CCCV (Constant Voltage
Constant Current) charging method. This involves initially charging the battery storage
system with a constant current rate of 1/3 C until the charging end voltage is reached,
with charging then continuing at a constant voltage and a decreasing current down to
a switch-off current of 3A.
The battery storage system is left in active standby for 30 minutes.
The battery storage system must be fully discharged (until the discharge end voltage
or a SoC of 0% is reached; whichever comes first) with a current rate of 1/3 C.
The battery storage system is left in active standby for 30 minutes.
The last 4 steps of the test profile should be repeated.
The capacity discharged during the second discharge cycle must be measured at the
output of the battery management system. Only this capacity should be used to
determine the SoH.
