The Vehicle Identification Number is stamped on
the DOT certification plate and also on a plate
located on the windshield frame pillar (driver's
side). The VIN is visible from the outside of the
vehicle.
Make
sure
identification number is given when ordering
replacement parts. Using the VIN when ordering
parts will facilitate processing.
NOTE
Record the VIN in the vehicle documentation
and keep with company records. The VIN will
normally be used for vehicle registration, service
reference needs and for obtaining vehicle
insurance coverage.
