DRIVER WARNING AND INDUCEMENT
MEASURES
Auxiliary
Emission Control Device (EACD)
defines as any element of design which senses
temperature,
vehicle
transmission gear, manifold vacuum, or any other
parameter
for
the
modulating, delaying, or deactivating the operation
of any part of the emission control system.
Disconnection of the following EACD produces
immediate activation of the Malfunction Indicator
Lamp MIL and 25% engine derate after three (3)
hours of a continuous open circuit condition.
Intake throttle position sensor
l
Ambient air temperature sensor
l
Vehicle speed
l
Engine oil pressure sensor
l
Exhaust back pressure sensor
l
Camshaft speed sensor
l
EGR delta pressure
l
Fuel rail pressure
l
Engine timing sensor
l
Engine coolant temperature
l
EGR temperature sensor
l
Exhaust
Aftertreatment
components must not be removed, altered or
modified in any way. In order to protect the
emission
control
system
inducement measures will occur if the following
states are detected:
Disconnection of DEF tank level sensor
l
Blocked DEF line or dosing valve
l
Disconnection of DEF dosing valve
l
Disconnection of DEF pump
l
Disconnection of SCR wiring harness
l
Disconnection of NOx sensor
l
Disconnected exhaust temperature sensor
l
Disconnected DEF temperature sensor
l
Disconnected DEF quality sensor
l

RPM,
purpose
of
activating,
System
(EATS)
from
