HOW YOUR ACTIONS IMPACT THE PREVOST DRIVER ASSIST™ SYSTEM
Your Action
If you, the driver, do this:
Step on the brake (during a collision
mitigation event).
Step aggressively on the accelerator
(during a collision mitigation event).
The Impact Alert (IA) warning will
sound
and
typically appears on the DID. The
Following Distance Alert may also
be heard.
Following Distance Alerts (FDAs)
may be given to you, depending on
the exact system configuration that
has been set for the vehicle, and
how close the vehicle cuts in front.
Downhill Grades
DO NOT USE cruise control on
downhill grades.
Cruise control should NOT be used on downhill grades.
Reactions of the Prevost Driver Assist™ system
Expect the Prevost Driver Assist™ system to do this:
As the driver, you are always in control and are able to apply full braking
power.
As the driver, you are always in control. Your actions override any Prevost
Driver Assist™ system actions. NOTE: If cruise control is engaged, it will
be overridden until the accelerator is released; then cruise control will
resume the original set speed automatically.

You must respond as needed.
