– In the case of vehicles with adaptive cruise control, the sensor
for adaptive cruise control - G550- has to be adjusted ⇒ Ve‐
hicle diagnostic tester.
Engaging pressure hose with plug-in connector
Make sure that retaining clip -2- is in upper position.
– Insert pressure hose -3- in direction of -arrow- into coupling
-1-.
– Press retaining clip -2- all the way downwards.
Note
If the retaining clip cannot be pushed down fully, the pressure
hose is not inserted far enough into the plug-in connector.
Press pressure hose further in, and engage retaining clip.
Check push-fit coupling by pulling on it.
Installing pressure hose with hose clip
– Push pressure hose together with hose clip -A- to stop onto
corrugated pipe connection.
– Tighten bolt of hose clip -A-.
Caution
The bolt of hose clip -A- must be tightened as prescribed
⇒ page 8
. If the specified torque is too low or too high, the
pressure hose may slip off the corrugated pipe connection
when the vehicle is being driven.
Specified torque for hose clips
1 -
Hose clip -a- = 13 mm wide: 5.5 Nm
2 -
Hose clip -b- = 9 mm wide: 3 Nm

Note
The lock carrier is a safety-relevant component. It must not be repaired for this reason.
In the event of damage, renew lock carrier.
