2.17.2 Installing
Note
Ensure when installing the assembly unit that the assembly unit does not come into contact with the curtain
airbag.
– Fit carrier unit -1- into roof aperture with the help of a second
mechanic.
– Align assembly unit in roof frame using cylindrical pins (shaft
of inverted drill), 12 mm at front right and 10 mm at rear left.
Carrier unit must not contact roof frame.
– Check routing of lines and connectors of electrical consumers
in roof and restore if necessary.
– Tighten bolts -2- (Qty. 12) for assembly unit -1-, starting at
sliding/tilting sunroof drive -3- and moving towards rear, alter‐
nating between left and right-hand sides, specified torque:
8 Nm.
– Fit water drain hoses -arrows-.
– Fit connector for drive mechanism -3-.
