Function

All the movement functions of the sliding/tilting sunroof with solar
panel can be carried out with the ignition switched on.
After the ignition is switched off, actions can be performed until
either the driver or front passenger door is opened.
Opening of the solar panel in sliding or tilting positions can be
preselected using the rotary knob. The panel covering is an inte‐
gral part of the solar panel and cannot be moved separately.
The sliding/tilting sunroof is equipped with a force limitation (anti-
trap) mechanism for the sliding function. If the sunroof encounters
an obstruction while closing, it will open automatically.
In addition, there is an emergency closure function. If problems
occur during closure, the sunroof can be forced to shut by press‐
ing the pre-selector switch when it is in the "close sunroof" posi‐
tion.
The anti-trap mechanism works with raised clamping forces in the
emergency closure function.
The sunroof drive is protected against overheating by a time lim‐
itation. The protective mechanism activates when the sunroof is
operated continuously for approx. 2 minutes. It is functional again
after a cooling-off phase.
In the event of power failure, the sunroof can be moved using a
crank directly on the drive.
